dorzolamide hydrochloride) is a prescription eye drop that is taken to lower the pressure in the eyes (intraocular pressure). Specifically, it is approved to lower eye pressure in people with the following conditions:
The standard dosage is one drop applied to the affected eye(s) three times a day. Trusopt can be purchased as either a brand-name drug or a generic drug. Regardless of the type you buy, the eye drops are only available in one strength: a 2% ophthalmic solution, available in 10-mL bottles.
Most people tolerate Trusopt well, but side effects can include things like eye burning, stinging, and discomfort.
