Timoptic Drug Interactions

A number of medications may interact with Timoptic. For example, problems may occur if the eye drop is used in combination with oral beta blocker medications, clonidine, digoxin, or calcium channel blockers. These drug interactions may lead to dangerously low blood pressure, extremely slow heart rate, or other potentially serious side effects.

Drug Interactions With Timoptic

Timoptic® (timolol maleate) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to interactions with Timoptic include:
 

 

 

 

 

  • Digoxin (Digitek®, Lanoxin®)
  • Epinephrine (EpiPen®)
  • Methacholine (Provocholine®)
  • Other beta blockers, including (but not limited to):

 

 

  • Reserpine.
