OptiPranolol Drug Interactions

Drug interactions may occur if certain medications are taken with OptiPranolol. Some of the medicines that may interact with the beta blocker eye drop include reserpine, calcium channel blockers, digoxin, and methacholine. Drug interactions with OptiPranolol could lead to an extremely slow heart rate, dangerously low blood pressure, breathing problems, and other serious side effects.

Drug Interactions With OptiPranolol

OptiPranolol® (metipranolol) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to OptiPranolol drug interactions include:
 

 

 

  • Digoxin (Digitek®, Lanoxin®)
  • Methacholine (Provocholine®)
  • Other beta blockers, including (but not limited to):

 

 

  • Reserpine.
