What If I Use Too Much?

It is not known what to expect from an overdose of Zioptan. If you happen to use too much, seek immediate medical attention.

 

 

How Should This Medicine Be Stored?

Zioptan comes in pouches with 10 single-dose containers per pouch. Store the unopened pouches in the refrigerator. Once you open a pouch, you may keep it at room temperature for up to 28 days, after which it must be discarded.

 

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

There is no standard guidance for what to do about a missed dosage of this medication. Oddly enough, it is known that using it more frequently than once a day actually makes the drug less effective. Therefore, it might be best to skip a missed dosage (without trying to "make it up") and continue with your regular schedule.

 

Available Strengths

Zioptan comes in one strength: Zioptan 0.0015% eye drops, containing 0.3 mL of the medication per single-use container (enough for a single dosage of one or both eyes).

 

Can I Buy Generic Zioptan?
