Available in the form of an eye drop, Qoliana is prescribed to help lower eye pressure caused by open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. This generic version of Alphagan P works by decreasing the amount of fluid produced by the eye and increasing drainage of eye fluid. The drops are applied three times a day and may cause itching or redness.

What Is Qoliana?

Qoliana® (brimonidine tartrate) is a prescription eye drop. It is approved to treat high eye pressure in people with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. Qoliana is a generic version of Alphagan® P.

Are There Side Effects?

Just like any medicine, Qoliana may cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
If reactions do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
