Available in the form of eye drops, Istalol is specially formulated for once-daily use. The eye drops are part of a class of drugs called
beta blockers. These drops work to lower eye pressure by decreasing the amount of fluid produced by the eye (known as aqueous humor).
Although most people tolerate the eye drops well, Istalol is not suitable for everyone. Possible side effects of Istalol include burning, stinging, and blurred vision.
