Congenital Glaucoma Symptoms

Glaucoma is normally a condition that affects people over the age of 35. However, congenital glaucoma affects children. With this type, children are born with a defect in the angle of the eye that slows down the normal drainage of fluid. These children usually have obvious glaucoma symptoms, such as:
 
  • Cloudy eyes
  • Sensitivity to light
  • Excessive tearing.

The symptoms discussed in this article are not sure signs of glaucoma. Other eye problems can also cause these symptoms. Anyone with these possible symptoms of glaucoma should see an eye care professional. Only an eye care professional can diagnose and treat the problem.
