Cosopt® (dorzolamide/timolol) is a medicine used to reduce eye pressure in people with chronic open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. It comes in the form of an eye drop that is applied to the affected eye(s) twice a day. Most people tolerate it well; however, side effects are possible -- common ones include eye redness and a burning or stinging sensation in the eye.

Prior to beginning treatment with Cosopt, tell your healthcare provider if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you wear soft contact lenses. Also be sure to tell him or her about any allergies you have. This information will help your healthcare provider make certain that this is the right medication for you.
